Website/App Consent Management refers to the process of collecting, storing, and managing user consent regarding data privacy on websites or apps. Consent management platforms (CMPs), like Didomi, are often used to automate and simplify this process. These platforms ensure that users are informed about the type of data being collected (such as cookies, personal information, and tracking data) and can choose whether or not they want to allow it. Some locations like the European Union, California and Virginia have laws requiring sites and apps to provide all users with the option to review and opt out of data tracking and/or selling.
ViewNexa utilizes Didomi as our default Consent Management Platform (CMP) for our managed sites and apps. Upon implementation, a consent management banner will be visible to your users at the bottom of the discover page when they first land on your site(s)/app(s). Users will be able to review how ViewNexa processes personal data in accordance with GDPR and CCPA regulations. They will have the ability to Learn More, Disagree or Agree depending on their preferences. The users will see this consent management banner once per session until they have either accepted or rejected it; then they will not receive the banner again for one (1) year.
